finishing up the year

Sometimes we play in quiet basements with fancy equipment and a few close friends.

And later the same week we wear Santa hats and play for a theater full of enthusiastic audience members.

And this Saturday we close out our year of gigs with a trio set at the Two Bit Bistro, 6-8p on December 20. We’ll pull out some seasonal flavors and some of our own perennial favorites, and we’ll tell you more about what we’ve been up to. Enjoy the lights, good food and drink, and the lights of downtown.

September sets

Welcome to September! We’ve packed all of our music into the middle of the month:

  • Park City Jazz in the Park, Wednesday 9/17, 5:30 – 7:00. Free, all ages. Bring a picnic and throw off your shoes to dance in the lawn.
  • Two Bit Bistro (duo), Saturday 9/20, 6:00 – 8:00. Free, all ages. Celebrate Harvest Moon Festival and then come out for dinner and a drink with us. We have a suspicion that Tim might walk in with his upright bass as a special surprise.
  • Private event (trio), Wednesday 9/24. Sorry, you probably aren’t invited, but we put this here just to make sure you know we’re busy. (And if you’d like your own private event, let us know!)
  • Funk ‘N Dive, Saturday 9/27, 9:00 – midnight. $5, 21+. Join the full band in our favorite dive bar for a late night set, good company, and a dance floor.

august outings

We’ve packed all our August outings into the span of only a week, but a wide variety of settings and groupings:

  • This Saturday, 8/16, Caryn & Adam return to play Two Bit Bistro as a duo, 6:00 – 8:00 PM (free, all ages). This coincides with an art market event at 2BB, so come early, meet the artists, and stay for dinner.
  • Wednesday, 8/20, the trio of Caryn/Adam/Tim debut at Pendry Poolside series in Park City. Join us on the roof from 7:00-10:00PM (free) as we play out the setting sun and you enjoy music, a view, and perhaps a cocktail.
  • Friday, 8/22, our long awaited chance to play (all four of us! even Matt!) at Ogden’s Own Summer Series in their amphitheater ($5, 21+). Doors at 5:00PM. We’ll start playing at some point after 6:00 or when we feel like it and close out the evening around 10:00. Sit, dance, cheer, sing along. We’re so excited to play outside at the distillery while you watch the glow on the mountains behind us.

That’s our August! A duo, trio, and quartet! You could join us for all three shows and never get bored. See you out there.

june gigs

We’ve got 3 gigs in 2 weekends, each their own special vibe!

First, our debut at Brewskis in Ogden, this Friday, June 13, 9-Midnight ($5, 21+). They made a poster that looks especially beautiful by cropping out the rhythm section. It’s fine. We know our place, best heard rather than seen.

The following evening, Caryn and Adam play another duo set at Two Bit Bistro, 7-9p, Saturday, June 14 (free, all ages). Two Bit is a gem, and this is a fun evening hangout with good vibes, drink, and food.

The next week you and all of your family should come celebrate with us at the Weber-Morgan Children’s Justice Center solstice celebration and open house at their brand new facility, Saturday June 21, 5-8p (free, all ages). We’ve supported CJC in past years and jumped at the opportunity to help them celebrate — and we can’t imagine a better cause. Come see their new digs, get something to eat at food trucks, and call out favorite songs you’d like us to play.
